Fall Mississippi River Hunts - Big River Guide Service Tony Toye Pool 9

Since 1996 we have been guiding hunters on the Mighty Mississippi river exclusively on Pool 9. This area is famous for staging the world’s largest concentration of Canvasbacks. Besides Canvasbacks the area also has consistent gunning for mallards, redheads, bluebills, gadwall, and widgeon. We commonly harvest over 20 different duck species each season! The area also provides some very good goose hunting as well.

All our hunts take place out of one of our large comfortable boat blinds. Each boat is equipped with heaters, individual seating, permanent blind and a stove. A large hot breakfast is provided each morning that will be something you won’t soon forget!!

Each morning you will be hunting over an enormous decoy spread with contest quality callers. Each year Big River Guide Service ranks #1 in harvest numbers according to the USFW.

· Our boats handle 1 to 4 hunters.

· A party of 3 hunters will allow you to hunt by yourselves, otherwise we mix groups to a 4 hunter maximum.

· Rates are $160/per person/per day for a hunt until 1:00pm.

· A 50% non-refundable deposit is required within 1 month of booking your hunt.

· If BRGS cancels your hunt your deposit will be transferred to the next agreeable date or to the following year.

· If client cancels deposit will be lost.

Things to Bring:

Recommend 12 gauge with 3” or 3 1/2”, 1-4 shot size

Warm camouflage clothing, chest waders, snacks, camera, and cooler if needed.

Small game license, WI State waterfowl stamp, Federal Bird Stamp, and you must be WI HIP certified. We often have opportunities at geese, so you will need an exterior goose permit also ($3.00)
